Tye

I'm not sure where I'd be without Tye.

This dog taught me to be an adult. Party's over, I felt him say when we met 11 years ago. You go out too much, and I need to be fed and walked, and my bum isn't going to scratch itself.

He didn't care if I had a party to get to or if I wanted to sleep in the next day. He thought I was getting too old for that kind of life. He was right. needed me to make more money because the vet bills, the argyle Etsy collars, the holistic halibut and venison dog food weren't gonna pay for themselves. He needed me to have a career to support his lifestyle. He made me a responsible person. He taught me to care about something, someone, other than myself.

He was a 110-pound hunk of love. Every person, baby, dog and animal he met he was his friend as far as he was concerned. He tried to play with a deer once on Fire Island. The deer, for obvious reasons, wasn't feeling it. He met a turtle once on the pier by the Intrepid. He really liked that turtle. You never saw a turtle run so fast.
